8.Qxa1 is a horrible blunder since it drops a piece.White is completely winning after Qxa1,Bxh8.But the simple 8.Bxg7 is just better for black.In the line you mentioned,Black just plays Qa3 for Rc1 and if Rxc5 then Nxd4.White's best is to probably castle after Rc1 but in either case Black doesn't have nearly enough compensation imo.
