Online chess is a bit different than OTB tourney play. In many cases a player can choose their opponents, from seeks or direct challenges, and can choose to play much lower rated players.
You also have strings of rematches, especially in live, so if a player is better than their opponent a string of wins would be easier to rack up.
I'd like to see some "Sarcastic" Tropies. The first one I propose is "Awesome Winning Streak". Then you get to fill in the blank: "___ in a row, and counting".
I mean seriously, give me an effing break, 25 in a row?! When I earned my provisional USCF correspondence 2000+ experts rating (in the pre-engine mid-eighties), I did so by winning 8, and drawing 4. Non grandmasters do NOT win 25 games in a row, unless they're playing players who only just learned how to move the pieces.
