New to chess!

Hey everyone, I am new to the game of chess, only been playing a little over a month. I've got the basics down, and know of a good opening or two, but any and all help and wisdom is greatly appreciated! Nice meeting all of you, and I hope to play some of you in the future!

I like watching titled players play; GM Simon Williams and IM John Bartholomew are my two favorites to watch. John's got a series on Youtube called Chess Fundamentals you might be interested in looking at.
Are you familiar with the Opening Principles of Chess?
Welcome Jroc91, I started playing chess this summer and I can tell you from experience it helps to spend some time on it every day in one fashion or another. Take advantage of the tactics trainer, the puzzle rush, puzzles, ect. Play a lot of games and win or lose, have the computer analyze your game so you can see where you made mistakes. And the biggest piece of advice is to remember to just have fun no matter the outcome. Face it, you are going to win and lose games. Just my 2 cents. Maybe I will see you out there in the future.

Accept a rematch, if presented.
