Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I was wondering if practicing against bots is a good idea just starting out? I haven’t been abusing the take back feature or anything like that.

Thanks

It is better to play humans.

If you are 200 rated then playing equal opponents will not benefit you like at all. It's actually good to play against maximum power engine, good to practice opening as it will give you the best possible feedback at all times. Same for me or anyone else. Wouldn't waste my time on the weaker bots as they will blunder on occasion for no reason

The trouble with the bots here is that they try to be nice and play like a human, so if you play weakly they will also, if you play strongly they will do so. Which is ok for a fun game but not much good for training. Bots on other websites like Lichess are better for training. If you have to train with bots here then choose one over 2000 but even they may blunder occasionally.
