Mod I think, but ...

Except when getting paid.

I've done paid work for Chess.com in the past, but I'm not doing any at present; the moderator stuff I do is purely voluntary. Chess.com have let me keep access to some additional tools that our regular moderators don't get, which I use to support the team overall.

Whenever I make a new account I'm auto muted and I have to send an e-mail saying unmute me, and the mod always respond "oh that's weird, I unmuted you"

Sometimes they come up with a lame excuse like I accidentally triggered a spam auto-mute filter, but I think they just wanted to have something better to say than "I don't know why it happened."

Sure I could just unplug my modem over the weekend, but maybe you can use your "additional tools" to turn that off. Or maybe not. Just thought I'd mention it.

As for nicest mod, they all seem pretty good. It'd be easier to name the worst mods. I have someone in mind but that's probably not a path they want this topic to go down.

But you know, all the usual people are really good. David (who I guess is a mix of mod and staff), Crystal Moon (I remember her from forever ago), Batgirl, umm... probably some others whose names escape me at the moment.

Watch out for david. He's shifty.

Can't be too careful when you're a modsta.  Gotta be on yer toes.

There's an Admin Note on your present account that indicates that it was auto-muted when trying to blog on day 1 - I assume that's a defensive mechanism to cut down on the some of the spam attacks we were experiencing some time in the past.

Ok, but maybe 2 or 3 accounts before that too. I doubt the blog post had anything to do with it.

We could test if you want. I'll close this account and make a new account with a name of your choosing. I'm certain that new account will be muted automatically.

I've had like... 100. So what? I was here years before you, so it's not a big deal.

Ghost_Horse0

Ok, so lets try it. I'll make an account called davids_bad_hair_day or something close to that.

llamonade

Lets see if this gets muted...
