That's easy to change.  All we need to do is delete some comments or mute/ban some people above you.

Lol, you might not be nice after all 🤣

That's always a good thing to do.  Link for those who haven't seen it: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-moderator

AlCzervik

funny how a parody by a staff member is taken as high humor, but when a regular member starts one that is, um, similar, the member is banned.

One needs to be part of the in crowd to say certain things

AlCzervik

does anyone remember the "a day in the life..." topic that lasted about two hours and got a member banned?

'cause, if not, you are only speaking of recent history about "nice mods".

MGleason

I don't think I ever saw that thread, or if I did see it I don't remember.  Chances are good, though, that that thread wasn't what got the person banned.  A mere joke is never taken as grounds for a ban.

More likely there was multiaccounting or something else going on.

tell that to @crystaimoon  which got that account and MY account banned for a mere joke

https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/i-and-l-are-not-the-same?page=3

also it you can't find anything at page 3 it means @iambbw has finally been unmuted

Mi_Amigo

i had to make @UnBanMePls to have myself unbannned

MGleason

Well, a mere joke that involves mod impersonation is a pretty bad idea... that one can lead to bans/mutes, especially if there's multiaccounting involved.  Don't do that.

Mi_Amigo

Learned that the hard way

Can a "nicest mod" ask Staff to run an IP check?  I have reason to believe that THIS is YGNR.....[name removed, will investigate - MOD]   I only ask here because your "Report It" feature seems to be down.  T.Y.

And you shouldn't a publicize a acc for multi accounting. Message @MGleason about that.

Um

incorrectname

I've never heard of YGNR
