I really like Anand and would like to see him win, but I have to agree with Short: Magnus is just too strong - he plays in his own league. But I think Anand will put up a better fight this time. The pressure also has become less for him, so I expect interesting matches.

In my opinion, Anand has 0% chance of winning another WC.
Therefore, I am racist towards my own race.
I bet Short did not foresee An and winning the candidates and his opinion does not mean anything
Many top players were asked who they thought would win the Anand vs Gelfand match, but I don't think one should conclude that those predicting Anand to win necessarily were affected by anti-semitism, or that their countries were anti-Gelfand. Maybe they just said what they thought :-)
Unfortunately this is the carlsen-era and it will probably last a few years more, nobody can beat a guy who have top notch seconds and analyzing all the games AND understanding it with the best chess engine.
Carlsen having Hammer as a second an analyzing games with an engine may not be the most important reasons behind his success.

I think that even Carslen will give Anand atleast a 1% chance of winning the WC ..its not like you or me who is facing him..its a Super GM ,Five Time World Champion and World no.3 that is ...So its fair to give a 1% chance at the very least though i think that he has a little more than that(10-15% )
By the way, I was making fun of the person who said people from the UK are racist towards indians, like wtf that was messed up to say.
I do not see any reason why he has a chance though. Maybe if Carlsen is sick or ill on one of the days, he could win, but I don't see it.
