I have never used the app, am only speaking from personal XP on the website. I had mouse slip ups when I would drag/drop a piece... sometimes the mouse would drop before I got it to the square I wanted. Cost me a game or two at least, truly annoying to lose that way. Then I realized you can click on the piece you are going to move, and then click on the square you want to move to. No drag/drop. It's pretty difficult to screw up that way (as opposed to dragging/dropping), since then I don't think I have had any issues moving a piece to a different square than I intended. Not entering into the discussion about a confirm option, only saying that if your reason for frustration is the same as mine was, this might help if not solve your issue.
The thing is that even with the click option you sometimes pre-select while you wait on your opponent to move, because you might want to place that piece after his turn, and then you mistakenly click someplace just because of that. My mouse does not have a hard click, and my finger is obviously resting on it. Just earlier I put my queen in front of a pawn that way. The entire discussion should not even take place because somehow in the app this mechanic is integrated but on the PC it's too much to ask for?
