no good move available next

when we play with very tough opponent, some times it happens as we cannot move any good move. Everything limited & congested, although both side did not loss any piece. opponent also would feel the same. what should be done at this point? just to forward with any pawn randomly?

Sometimes you need to trade pieces to open up the position.
