Not that it matters because the admins at this site don't seem to care!

I have reported this issue on numerous occasions and the people who watch these blogs say, that can't be true tell us how it happened and we will fix it.  So here goes again!  I blocked Bigguy919 and still was matched with him again!! Also, his clock doesn't move at the correct speed! He is cheating his clock somehow!  I know the speel, don't post that here, it isn't true!  Well it is!  And it's a problem!  And I am sure I am not the only person having this problem so it is worth putting in this forum!

When did you block him? Today?

It looks like you lost twice to him on time today in 3 minute blitz but had never faced him before.

So I am thinking that you meant to say that you blocked him after the first game and were unhappy to play him again ten minutes later.

Your complaint is about blocking not working, not about the particular guy you tried to block, who you hadn't ever faced before today.

I see no previous complaints about this problem in your forum posts.  You could have made the complaint without naming your opponent.

I still recommend your sending in the game links to support@chess.com. There may be something wrong with blocking. (I don't know. I rarely face the same person twice.)

CandyCigarettes

I blocked him after the first game.  And I put his name here so you could see who it was.  The system doesn't work.  When I have asked about this previously the admin wanted to know who it didn't work against.  If I didn't put his name you wouldn't have been able to see the game.

Nonsense. You simply cannot interfere with code on the chess app or the website directly.

Meaning any kind of time or piece manipulation is impossible. The only possible way to cheat is during games with longer time controls, wherein the opponent checks his moves with an engine.

Anything else is either caused by lags, bugs or performance issues of the machine.

Colby-Covington,

Are you a computer expert?  A computer programmer?  Are these facts that you are submitting or your opinion?  Are you the worlds greatest computer hacker?  Or are you a chess player with a 2200 rating because you are great at chess?

Colby-Covington

I majored in computer science and IP law.

Been coding on my own for a while, facial recognition and self-learning algorithms, but I can assure you that there are very few people with the means and knowledge to actually accomplish such a thing and their incentives would most definitely exceed cheating at chess.

I am actually rated higher than that, but no worries lol.

Not a great chess player, but certainly better than you .

CandyCigarettes

I never claimed to be a great player!  Troll!  Second, not that it matters, you just might not be a very good computer programmer.  You know what they call the doctor who finished last in his class at medical school?  Doctor.

Colby-Covington

People are very quick to accuse others of cheating here, mostly because their own inadequacies.

I am FIDE rated, as a matter of fact I am part of Germany's representation at the Australian Open in two weeks.

To be honest, with this kind of attitude you will never progress in any aspect of life.

All I am saying is that reverse engineering any closed source code requires an immense amount of time and resources which most people wouldn't be willing to invest without a sizable monetary gain.

It's simply not plausible.

Colby-Covington

I know exactly what I am talking about because I have done it.

Carry on, I'm sure you'll do well in whatever path you take.

Sounds like Sore Loser Syndrome to me doc....

Reminds me of Billy Joel's interview on the "angry young man."

The only thing I have seen that you do well at is lie.  Congrats, you could be a politician or a car salesman someday.  Script kiddies do things all the time to each other in online games every day.  If Xbox Live, and the Playstation Network with their massive data centers, and cybersecurity blue teams can't stop the little dummies from knocking each other off the internet, how can Chess.com do it?  They don't have the money or the resources as those companies, but yet they can do what no one else is able to do, and that is to stop cheaters from hacking each other?  Hahaha.  Anyway, I'll go do nothing with my life now, while you lie to everyone.  Thanks for the laugh.

It isn't that something is impossible, just that if someone made into the site server process that runs Live games, they likely wouldn't use that access to win a chess game. The Live server is the traffic manager, so the clients never directly connect to each other, which means any bad actor would need to subvert that process to get an opponent's connection details.

So not impossible, just very unlikely.

So your argument and apparent knowledge with regards to manipulating closed source code is based on your experience with children cheating in online console games?🤭 You understand the differences in architecture and access protocols?

The fact that you made that comparison literally demonstrates how utterly oblivious you are to the subject matter, yet you were so quick to dismiss any alternative explanation with such certainty.

That's exactly what I meant, it's always the most ignorant who scream the loudest.

And it's always the most unaccomplished who attempt to diminish the achievements of others.

2 day old account already causing a ruckus. Interesting...

Lord_Hammer

Lol @Colby-Covington is just hitting you with his achievements and you patzers have no good arguments.

Lord_Hammer

Exactly - and he’s actually good at stuff unlike most of the people on this thread.

Botvinnik is trying to boost his ego. Why else?

Look at the hypocrisy. You joined two days ago. I’ve been here for 6 years.

Haha! So funny. Not sure what your problem is, but I’m guessing it’s hard to pronounce.
