I thought I had read a review somewhere so I dug around until I found it. Seems it was right under my feet the whole time.

Followed your link and posted over there, because I didn't know what else to do. My post was very positive, because I use and love the NY22 almost daily. I don't understand why they are so negative. They seem to be comparing the NY22 to expensive PDA's with computer upload and download capability. Quite a different breed of "cat". Oh well, I tried.

I'm glad you like the NY22. I don't really know anything about them. I was looking around for a dedicated chess computer a while ago and a portable one was an option. That's how I stumbled on that review. I ended up not getting anything. I decided to just make do with downloaded engines/databases and a regular board.
I downloaded an app into my Blackberry Storm but it turned out to be somewhat crippled and not strong enough so I removed it.
Does anyone out there have a NY22 chess computer? What are your experiences with it?
