I play the KG as white.
A true romantic !
I have no idea what a centipawn loss even is, but it seems the lower the better.
I've played the Smith Morra with various degrees of success. I do like gambit play -even the double-Muzio -and, as my record would probably attest, my play tends to border on the unsound.
"Average centipawn loss"
The centipawn is the unit of measure used in chess as measure of the advantage. A centipawn is equal to 1/100 of a pawn. Therefore 100 centipawns = 1 pawn. These values play no formal role in the game but are useful to players, and essential in computer chess, in order to evaluate positions. -- http://chess.wikia.com/wiki/Centipawn
A perfect move will lose zero centipawn, but lesser moves will result in a deterioration of the position, measured in centipawn.
This value can be used as an indicator of the quality of play. The less centipawns one loses per move, the stronger the play.
It can also be seen as how closely the player's moves match those considered best by the engine scoring the game.
As white I play scotch gambit and smith-morra gambit
I drink Scotch and play the Smith-Morra gambit.
I don't even own a chess program - I think Winboard and Chessbase Lite have engines included, but I have no idea how to use them - so program lingo is sort of meaningless to me. I do understand "blunder" and "inaccuracy" though.
Here is a KG Bertin Gambit, game I just played. The computer analysis shows all sorts of error, but I thought it was a fun game. I left the computer's suggestions, minus the long lines, in the pgn.
It is for me.
