Offering a draw

I'm new to chess , just like playing. Is it considered bad to offer a draw when you are winning and near checkmate? I really don't worry about my rateing as it is hard to find players and hate to beat up on lower rated players.  Just like to play

There should be an on/off slider control during game play that, when activated, will create a draw offer popup on the opponent's screen automatically after very turn.  This way, your opponent will likely, eventually, take up on the offer should he/she resist it the first 10x.

Part of the fun of any contest between people is that players work against each other while trying to win.

By offering a draw (or resigning) when you're winning, you're violating the spirit of the activity, and the activity will no longer be fun for the other player(s).

I suggest you join a support group where everyone talks about their feelings instead of wasting other people's time by quitting at the end of the game.

Thanks for all the replies.  I recently watched a live stream of a GM playing several people at the same time , I think maybe 30 min games, and couldn't help but wonder why his oppenents were resigning when there was plenty of play left, the GM won all the games. I only resign when its clearly I'v lost. I enjoy completion. If my rateing was , lets say 1600, good luck on finding someone to play on live chess unless you play blitz, which I don"t. I'm not that good. I normally play rapid,  60 min , or daily . Have no desire of being a GM or IM, just enjoy playing and the challenge. by the way, what is trolling?
