Old Chess.com vs New Chess.com

Which is better?

I like v3 a lot. I don't use some features of the site very much but I'm on it most of the time I'm on the site.

I switched to V3 briefly because I am working through the study plans (under "learn" then "study plans") and I came to a roadblock at "plans for intermediate players - #4 - Intermediate: The Endgame!".  The first task is to watch some videos, and to play out the key positions vs. computer opponent.  The links on the right side of the video player did not work (something about Java), and it said I needed to have V3 for them to work.  So I switched to V3, but did not like it, the main reason being something to do with chess mentor (which I am also working through).  I can't remember exactly what the problem was, but I think it was difficulty navigating the "courses" (right now I am working through chess mentor, course by course, from easiest to hardest), and I could not figure out how to search courses and/or sort courses from easiest to hardest.  It could be that the problem is on my end, in that I'm just not understanding how to do it.  So please chess.com, don't force me into V3 anytime soon (I still have a lot of courses to go!), as I would like to complete the chess mentor in the way that I have been doing it.  Or, better yet, will someone tell me what I may be missing here?
