Old web site

I have a big problem with the new web site. Actually i prefer to use the old. In particular i can't flipboard . Anyone has this problem?

I don't like to use the app, because it's not the same than the full web site

I can't get used to the new site, always switch to the old.

Here's the flip board in V3.  Just hover the mouse on the two way arrow in the right of the withe rook and the option will appear.

Hover, hover... Also in Youtube you have to hover (or click?) the sound icon in order to increase/decrease the sound level, although there is enough space below the video to show the sound level bar.

This is a trend that I wish web page developers would move away from.

There is plenty of "real estate" on the web page, yet the developers, for whatever reason, want you to hover over everything, so they can hide functions.

As far as I can guess, it is done to achieve a "cleaner" look for the design.

In terms of usability, I think it is a pain.

  I prefer the new site because it's easier to read. The old site uses smaller type size and the "huge" board size on the old site tactics board is too small for my ancient eyes.

Ctrl+ magnifies everything in the browser.

Something about the cookies will prevent the switch. Whatever your setting is now for cookies from chess.com. Change it. 

why have they developed the [removed -- MOD] new site which is all dark and dinghy and foreboding

If you don't flip the board with the new improved version V3 then you could encounter a problem at the start of the game, not being able to move at all in case you accidentally tried to move opponents pieces.
