How can you be sure she was 98 and from Vanuatu? For that matter how can we be sure you're from Vatican City? Or that I'm from Swaziland?
I have the earliest birthdate allowable by the form on this site.

A friend of mine who is a member of chess.com is about 70, that's the oldest I know of.
I wonder who the youngest is?

Well I'm not quite there yet but I do remember that a few months ago someone was trying to set up a group for members that are over the age of 80.
I know there was a guy in his 80's here.

I'll be 57 in September.
There is a group called "The Geezers" with over 100 members and you have to be over 60 (if you're a guy, 50 for the fairer sex). My money is on someone from their group.
if you start the 'over 80 s' let me know...I"m 88..female..new to chess and I love it!!!!

They are just trying to recruit young chicks.
There's no way of knowing for sure who the oldest member is. If you search members, many of the inactive ones simply put "January 1, 1900" in for their birthdate.
