I'm afraid you are still learning my friend - as we all are - and you don't understand the art of the game. Every good player knows the importance of material superiority in order to win a game. Some at the top have even been described as "Heroic Materialists" - taking the poison pawn for example Fischer, and weathering the storm. Korchnoi is another. Even Tal or Morphy wouldn't just give material away for no reason.
What does piece snatching imply?
