haven't seen anything about this!! Guessing it's a US production - in the blurb on the website they have moved Gatwick to London. Will keep my eyes open! Anything with Simon Williams presenting it can't be bad. Good luck with Pia Cramling - the lady has had quite a career.

Seems to be a lot more on Facebook, with a good deal more content, short videos and a lot more info. Most of the directed content titled Checkmate TV Show, dated & hyperlinked take you to various chess sites, ...rfi Norway Sports|Chess, en.chessbase.com, chess.com, Boy Scouts of America, various sponsors and publications, etc. I think a quick message to Irina Krush or Simon Williams could provide a lot more substance. It does seem they are actively seeking more sponsors, in attempt to expand. It seems like a cool concept. I hope it takes off.

Thank y'all for the links. Unfortunately, having perused them all, I'm still not sure I understand exactly what the program is or ... anything really. The pithy descriptionss given in different places seem somewhat contradictory.

no. never have.
I have heard something about the series but as usual I am a bit vague on the subject.
I think it is a venture involving Simon Williams and Nigel Short amongst others.
As I understand it is similar in format to the old BBC Mastergame series (which brought me to chess btw).
To date possibly two series have been produced with the filming taking place in Mediterranean venues
Unfortunately the venture has stalled as the producers are struggling to generate the interest of TV media to buy them up for broadcast...

always thought she would have been great in Abba.
I was exploring Pia Cramling's chess career and stumbled across the following. I'm not a tv watcher so this comes as a bit of a surprise to me. I noticed the "episode guide" shows "0 episodes." Does anyone know anything about this tv program?
