On “The Secret of Chess”

I was going to ask people what they thought of Lyudmil’s book “The Secret of Chess” in the thread with the same name. However, I decided to voice my question in an entirely different thread. So, what do YOU think of Lyudmil and his book? Do you think that he really revealed the secret of Chess, or do you think that this is just another marketing scam. Some people are really unclear amount their opinions on the thread, so I’m asking that we all state what we think here.

It's listed under humor and entertainment. If he really is over 2900 in ability and he really is much better than than the worlds best players and he really has found the secret to chess that no one else in the world knows, more power to him. Someone has to be better than the world champion, why not him? Someone famous once said small minds discuss people, average minds discuss things, and great minds discuss ideas. I say great ideas are worthless if there are no results. How have his ideas been put to use? How many grandmasters has he defeated using these ideas?

I agree.

A 2400 blitz player politely challenged him to a live match. He refused, and insulted the player as well.

Which, to me, looks like the behavior of someone who talks the talk, but can't walk the walk.

But what do I know? I'm just a hobby player. grin.png

Is there any doubt at this point that Lyudmil has nothing to give us?

I just hope his perpetual motion machine, that's up and running, doesn't break down before the science fair.

I’m sure he’ll give us the meaning of life in his next book, only $29.99

Hi, greekgift! I thought this thread was dead.

You’re not supposed to give your age out online right? Also, I’m older than 13. Ok?
Lyudmil_Tsvetkov

Weirder than that:

SF does not see mate, -100cps black advantage on move 11, +400cps white advantage on move 12.

How am I able to see 12. Nf1, if SF is not able to?

hitthepin
Oh, hi Lyudmil!
hitthepin
Don’t worry, we know that SF can be wrong sometimes.

He's a joke, and not even a good one.

Go away KOS you are a troll expert not the chess expert.

I'm no chess expert, but I can recognize a clown when I see it. I'm not saying Lyudmil is a bad player, he's probably pretty good, but he has no evidence to back his outrageous claims.

And now I'll leave this thread, crying because of your comment. "Go away", that's not really nice.

Greekgift, giving out your age is bad because it helps people figure who you are.
