One fatal finger-slip

I should win in this game. But in the end I became so nervious that I did a finger-slip... (67. not Rook e7... but Rook f8 !) ... and I missed the victory which... as it seems... was in my hands already. (

Really it was even hurtful.  I got so upset that even I didn't stop playing as I wanted... but I continued it up to the deep midnight.

And after I slept very bad.

I don't wanna play Chess more.

Think of the bright side.  At least the rook did not slip all the way to e6.happy.png

The victory was NOT in your "hands", obviously, it was in your head! grin.png

But I understand you, it has happened to me also, so I have an advice for you, that I use myself so I do not slip anymore; Click the piece you want to play and press it at the place you want to play. That has never happened to me since I have start using this method. Do not trust your fingers! Nothing good will come out of them! Trust your head! wink.png

That’s true. At least it was a draw and not a loss.

If it’s any consolation it was already a theoretical draw (vancura) before the fatal finger slip. Okay you had chances for sure but there’s worse ways to throw a game

I understand you completely, it is frustrating.

But there is one upside to this. You weren't winning this game. It was an equal position.

So sure, you could keep trying to win this equal game, but you weren't winning at that point anyway.

But now that we talk the talk, by the way this guy playing with white pieces very early in the game start trading off, obviously a drawish, individual. You can not say the same about me. Of course every individual does things according to the inner drive. We have to give him kudos for punishing my mistake when I push the b7 pawn, with a very simple tactic trading off his bad bishop, a very tame lizard, to my active fire breathing dragon. But again the mistake was mine, yet I was not done making mistakes, since more dangerous mistake is trading a freaking Freddie for a lousy pawn on the last move. And as I recall I had more time on the clock that is always good for something.

Some play positional that is ok. When you are Karpov that is ok! Other than that... well I am more of a Tal-person.

In a way I am glad that it was not a draw. What I hate more than anything is a draw. Unless that is a puzzle! wink.png

My reaction was my anger towards myself to letting a game evolve to such a boring state and of course the Freddie stuff!

And by the way Freddie means the piece queen. tongue.png Freddie Mercury the Queen, there is the connection! wink.png

And happy new year to the drawish gentleman also. Have a very very blissful new year to the entire chess.com universe! Piece, ehmm, I mean peace! grin.png

Frustrating -- but how were you going to win after Rf8 anyway?

I "dragged" the Freddie & lost him in the busy & bustling chess.com hive!

G! This is what you call an over reaction, and what do you expect us to do?

In fact it was the second finger-slip in one game.

Look... before  I wanted  64. ROOK f5 instead of 64. Rook e8... and 65. King g5 then.

This is why I was so upset.

Two finger-slips in one game is too much already. )

In my mind I figured out the such plan... Rook f8... then Rook f6 in order to defend my pawn...

Then Rook b6... and move my King for helping my pawn to become Queen.
