Online vs. OTB

How can I get better at face to face chess?

I am currently doing well in online chess with 3 days to make each move but whenever I play live (excluding 10 min games) or face to face, I always suck. I am so used to learning and playing chess online that while playing OTB, I cannot seem to analyze my position/tactics even half as well. Same goes with live games under 10 minutes. It seems as though I've lost all prior knowledge of chess and just start playing "hope chess". I feel that I am fairly good at online chess but not at live or OTB. Just look at my games as a reference.

Abandon the analysis board in your correspondence games.  You will lose games because of it, but you'll also train yourself to visualize better.  I don't know if you use the analysis board now, but I personally know it's hard to resist in correspondence games.

1. play more OTB chess(I crashed badly in my first OTB tournament, but it's getting better)

2. get a feeling for 3D. Use a real board for your tactical exercises and online games. but don't moves the pieces around. think it in your head

3. what Vandarringa said. otherwise you'll get lazy at thinking and sloppy
