I would normally say the KID/king’s indian defense, but you probably want something more so probably the nimzo-Indian defense. The dutch is too theoretical so that’s off the list. I ran out of ideas.
Respond with d5. It is most likely that the opponent will play the move 2. c4, which is known as the Queen’s Gambit. When this happens, you should play 2. e6, declining the Queen’s Gambit

Hi! I am rated 1500 rapid and 1600 blitz. I would like an opening with small theory against 1. d4. Any tips? I play 1. e4 with white, and I usually play 1. e5 against 1. e4.
