No, there is not a "best" chess opening. A lot of it depends on style.
I'll try to give a crash course.
As white, 1. e4, 1.d4, and 1.c4 are the most popular. Those three probably make up 90% of all chess games.
1.e4 tends to lead to open, tactical games. 1. d4 tends to lead to closed, positional games. 1. c4 is similar to 1. d4, with slight variations. Most people would say to use 1.e4 as a beginner.
Then, as black, you will need a defense to each of the above. Some are closed, some open, some aggressive, some passive.
So basically, play some things, and figure out what you like.
i'm confused
about the right chess openings......anytime i start a game the first thing that comes to my mind is which is the right chess opening to use....im really puzzled about it and till today i'm yet to find out if there really is a best chess opening?.....could someone help me out??
