Opponents Times Keeps Increasing

I am playing in a 3 day time control daily chess game. I have one particular opponent (who has over 100 games on the go - not sure if that has anything to do with it). I made my last move over a week ago and he still hasnt replied. Yesterday the clock said he had 31 hours left to play his move but when I logged on today this had gone up to over 40 hours. Is there a rule on time that I am unaware of or is this a bug that should be reported? I should add that this player has got vacation time remaining and has used that too but this doesnt alter the fact that the time is increasing
