The tactics trainer doesn't look over your shoulder, and tell you that you have a mate in three either. I was just lalking about the timing of the moves, for cryen out loud.
I was thinking they might be based on the average time taken in a tournament game or something. All I can say is, I suck at em when I try to stay in the time limits most of the time.
They do not correspond with average time per move at all, otb games usually takes up to 5 hours, so it is not at all uncommon for someone to pond over 20minutes on a move, especially if he suspects that there is a strong tactical threat in the position.
Is the tactics trainer on here timed like an ordinary tournament game?
