0 granted, I only entered an OTB tournament after playing (on here) for over 3 years, and my first game was against a ~1600 FIDE, so I won without too much trouble. If I'd started playing OTB when I first started chess, I would have got pwned!
otb lost games

That sounds good, I'm sure you'll get a win pretty soon! I think a 1600 would have been just as tough for me to beat after only a year.

Haha, you will be fine soon. I remember the first game I lost was my third game against a 1700, and I had managed to get a small advantage, then I blew that and had a cast iron draw ... then I blew that as well. Even thinking about it now still hurts! but since then I have played great, and have only lost 2 in 10 now, and that was against a 2300, I had no chance from about move 8 lol. You'll hit a winning streak, and it will feel great!

yes even being beat is fun...winning must be ...my knees shake just at the tought of it...i will keep on trying...

Speaking of rated OTB games, my first loss was the 5th or 6th game I played, the previous were all wins. In my second tourney I even went undefeated.
Impressive? no. The first tourney was a junior team event, me playing on a lower board, and in my second tourney, I played the U1600 section because I was still unrated.
Nevertheless, I haven't been so successful again for decades.
how many OTB games did you loose before you won one?, i mean slow chess...
