What kind of skills would you like to polish?
Do you want to know other playing sites, do you want to know good forum sites, etc ...
IMO chess.com is a best overall site, some sites excels at certain features, but they don't have it all.

Playing here seems to be great, what i'm more interested in is good game analysis of GM's, (which i can't seem to find that much of here) or something similar to chess mentor. Endgame and tactics puzzles are great too.
If you enjoy videos on chess, I have a channel on YouTube where I post instructional videos.
Maybe you could benefit...
ChessVideos.tv has lots of free videos, but the quality varies a lot. Recently they started charging a fee to see most master videos. it's not a bad deal, but I already pay for video access here, plus the quality here is very high.
Here's a link to the ChessVideos forum. Click "Chess Video Search" at the top. They also have various Chess Tools that might be interesting on the same page.

A friend of mine had a blog where he gathered all the links for free chess, sites and info he could and organized it. He hasn't been keeping it up, but there is a lot of stuff on there. Give it a look:

this website is really great, and i think playing against the computer here (in live chess) is very useful.
I often visit chessgames.com, a huge database of games by gransmasters and world champions, I think it could be useful too. Try watching the saved games and try to guess the moves.
good luck

Considering that I'm a new player, i'm always looking for new ways to practice chess. Some are pretty cool as they have an enormous amount of tactics problems, but I was wondering if there were any other equally good FREE websites to polish my skills. I also greatly enjoyed some grandmaster game analysis done by thechesswebsite on youtube. Chess mentor on here is pretty cool but unfortunately i don't have the ability to pay for more. Thanks.
