I don't know how u cook waffle in USA (i suppose too suggary and fatty), but i like belgian waffles.

Waffles only if they are the big fluffy Belgian ones and they aren't cooked in some sort of plastic hair dryer looking device that make it taste awful. Your waffle cooker should be cast iron! If not I will go with pancakes.
