Because one idiot can't stop drooling over it and other idiots try to reason with the first idiots. Then people start posting pictures and the thread becomes entirely derailed, moving to far more interesting topics.
Parham attack a hot topic currently?
The ones who create it have a knack for telling others of their genius, which irritates others, who cannot resist lashing back out. I discussed with them for a few posts myself, but I basically leave it be now. The best way to let the threads die? Don't post...simply advise people from wasting their time.
yeah I think that they are unreasonable. I guess what my Army parents tell me is true... you can't reason with a guy who straped C4 to his chest (thats not the English Opening either). so I just decided to back out and ignore them.
Yes, even if you refute what they say, they will still tell you that you are wrong. If everyone leaves them be, it will be like a man yelling at the top of his lungs in a sound-proof room. You know he is in there, but you cannot hear him. Although, I did see an Ernest movie before where the only way to beat the troll (literally) was with unconditional love.

I couldn't care less about the Parham, but using Ernest movies to make points is fantastic. I'm going to start applying that in everyday life.
To answer the OP, it is an under-rated opening, that is being trolled like crazy, while a few of the sane people on this site try to defend it.
to take is the best move. if you don't then you loose a minor due to a trap that is enforced by your own knight. you have to take. and notice I said I would play it as a joke. but now I might do it seriously. here is what happens when you don't take.
no attack, dead eye equality.
Without scrolling down from the chess openings section of the forum I saw 4 threads with 'Parham" in its title. I didn't bother looking at the garbage threads but can someone explain why they have 400+ posts?
