Paul Morphy's greatest game
Paulsen vs Morphy (1st American Chess Congress, 1857) was another good one.

The Opera Game was played in the Italian Opera House in Paris. Morphy was a frequent guest at the Duke of Brunswick's box at the Italian Opera. The above game wasn't their first game played during an opera. Their first game was played during a performance of Norma. The famous game above was played during a performance of Rossini's Barber of Seville. Both games were played in consultation with Count Isouard.
You can read more about Morphy and music here.
I think sacrifices are always amazing, because they require an extra sense of confidence and calculations. I ESPECIALLY respect sacrifices that were made long before computers and the kinds of analysis we have today. Bravo to the earlier chess playrs who really took advantge of position and went for it! These games are truly inspiring (and helpful, too). Thanks for posting! (P.S. I'm rated less than 1,000 -- as of 16 March 2014 -- so I'm nowhere near this skill level! However, Ihope to one day take the time to learn to be at least competitive, if not formidable!)
I am but a poor patzer, but I have to ask: why is Morphy's game against the Count even considered a great game?
Every game where a Super GM plays against an amateur is beautiful.
I do not want to sound negative, just asking...

It probably shouldn't be really.
But it's a great example of quick development.
I've won so many games where my opponent played 3. Bg4. Thanks to this game I've always known exactly what to do.
