What kind of positions call for a pawn storm?

every single time the kings are castled on opposite sides. Pawn storm guaranteed everytime.

Often in positions where the main imbalance is either opposite castled kings, in which the first to mate wins, or if the centre is totally locked up, where you have to take space on the side on the board you play on.

Remember, all pawn moves creates weaknesses.
