You can become a premium member of chess.com for "pennies a day". But, at the lowest rate that's 4.99 / month which comes to 16 cents per day (in a 31 day month). That's a dime, a nickle AND a penny per day. You could say something costs "pennies a day" at $100 dollars / day since that also equals 10 thousand pennies per day.
