People are cheating in 2/1 by using chat as a distraction

I have chat switched off but in several games I have had the chat box dialog "xxx wants to talk" after 2 moves. This is a new thing that I have encountered several times recently.

Then I blunder a move as it totally distracts me.

This is basically cheating and needs reporting every time in my opinion, how can you chat in 2/1 bullet at the 700 level???

then don't chat. turn it off. you are either here to play chess, or to socialize, or both.

I have it turned off but you still get the dialog box.

How can you socialize on 2/1 ?

I don't. ignore it. you already know it is being done as a distraction. so don't be distracted. Talk to support. maybe they can eliminate it entirely for you.

There is a way to mute chats.

why would it distract you though?

does it have a popup sound?

also, there is ingame chat, chat between accounts (under social tab) and personal messages
