People getting better suddenly

So this happens every so often and it happened again today. I play a pretty intense game with someone, and it goes down to the last seconds and my opponent flags in what was probably a drawn endgame. So he requests a rematch and I accept. So in game 2 he checkmates me in 15 moves and takes a total of 9 seconds doing so. I accept another rematch and he winds in 31 moves - taking a total of 24 seconds to think. The last move I made was a queen sacrifice and he took it practically instantly.

Sound fishy to anyone? Should I report him for cheating?

You dropped pieces, and missed simple tactics.

Usually it's more surprising if someone doesn't take a queen sacrifice.

Only a statistically tiny, elite group of high rated players are affected by cheating.  The large majority of the site's lower rated users who make Chess.com profitable aren't affected by cheating.  Just have fun and keep playing!

Why do you mention that? I'm not questioning the correctness of the statement - it just seems oddly placed. It's not really relevant to everything else you're talking about.
