People here are rude and have no sportsmanship? FALSE!

Every day there are whiners who love to cry about how somebody insulted them during a game and how so many people here are so rude and mean. (Some of them even ask what they should do LOL).

There are also the people who get like little angry kittens crying about how an opponent purposely ran out of time in a game he was losing.

I have literally played thousands of games here and I have encountered maybe only 2 or 3 douches during a game.

So I have no idea where you take the idea that so many people here are so bad.

Ok my dears, since you are so weak minded and delicate, I will tell you what to do in those situations.

1) Someone insults you during the game?

- Just disable the chat

- If you are in mood, have fun trolling him back and then forget him forever.

2) Somebody is running out of time to avoid resignation or checkmate?

- Do other stuff instead. Watch a YouTube video, send a whatsapp, read a page of a book. Do whatever you want while his time is running out. If you are just staring at the board when you already know that he is going to let his time run out then you are very unbright and I am glad that other people waste your time so easily, you deserve it.

See? It is very very easy.

Try using common sense sometimes.

Why is it not possible to stop players who disable chat from coming up as opponents. If a player is not willing to talk then why should I play them?

I've never had a bad experience with an opponent during a game, except for being beaten.  I grew up in the age of reticence, back when we kept our business off the street and our useless emotions in check, so I don't like to talk during or after, but I will say hello before a tournament starts.  I have noticed that the forums draw a disproportionate number of wankers, dolts and 5150s, but this is by no means unique to chess.com.  EVERYBODY HAS A TALE OF WOE THAT WOULD BRING TEARS TO THE EYES OF A SPHINX!

It is just rude to block a polite greeting.

People who block chat is because...

1 they have had bad experiences in the past
2. They are young
3. They (think they) know that so many people just want to troll and annoy them.

And by the way. Great post Pashak, very true, very good. If only more people were logical as yourself.

Then you might fall for that machiavelian trick that consists of pretending to ragequit and then moving when the opponent is distracted.

People time out all the time especially in rapid or longer time controls. You must be lucky.

I do agree with Pash on this one. Most of my games that I played were quite normal with no negative vibes. If you are sensitive and have your feelings hurt most of the time, yes, you should disable chat, and if you don't want to lose, then play an unrated game!!!!

Just, get a grip of yourself people!!!! It's not the end of the world!!!

And by most I mean all.

I think it has happened to me once or twice in about... 4 months.

No. You would obviously check the game every few minutes to see if there is something new.

I am not whining, I am saying truths.

I know that dumb people do not like to be called out, but I don't care about what they like or what they do not like.

You do have a point...
