People that dont start the game

Fairly often but not THAT often i get to play against someone that has white and that just doesnt start. After some time, maybe a minute, the website aborts the game if you didnt click "abort" yourself.

I kinda wonder what is it that happens that makes people disappear in the very few seconds between one clicks "New game" and the beginning of the game?

I guess its connection problems but the likelinesss that you get "it" in the exact timespan between "new game" and the game starting is kinda low. They often have marked "good connection" though?

To be honest, smetimes I go to start a game, and something happens that I need to just get up and leave the screen.   Often before the game board pops up.   Wife or child calls for me, barking dog situation.....sometimes people just get distracted and miss a game is up.   I imagine it is something like that most of the time, and not someone being  rude on purpose.

Well since they are white and don't get move because they are gone, there's not much to be awed about :)

I'm working on a convincing mad genious outfit though, to get an edge in real life games by inspiring pre-game awe.
