Personal Consistent Blunders

I've created this topic for discussion and input about particular things throughout YOUR play that you notice is a very common folly for you to fall atrap to.

For me, it is the "backward-knight move." Unless I'm hyper-focused, I always tend to mistake a square to be safe when it is in fact protected by a simple move of the opponent's knight back towards his camp. An Example:

Note : This is not only an improbable scenario, but is also quite an exaggerated example of the stated blunder. But you get the point. I always miss those "backward-knight" moves.

So, go ahead. Let's get some feedback about your own consistent mistakes that you've become conscious of and would like to share and discuss.

Golbat

For me, I'd go with "deep tactical mistakes" or "taking too much time".

me?

I LOVE getting my queen trapped.

I LOVE getting to a losing kings and pawns endgame!

Don't try to stop me!!!!

Apparently a lot of people have problems noticing 'backward' bishop moves. Luckily, I'm not plagued by such maladies.

Any more things like this people would like to share?

Procrastination in complex positoins.  Poor time management in turn based chess has gotten me into time trouble and I end up making rushed moves in difficult positions rather than really working through my options.  Most of my recent blunders have been a result of this.

Some mistakes I was able to notice

1) Opening files to my backwards pawns

2) Overlooking horizontal rook captures

The list goes on.  Right now I blunder less then before but I'm on the lookout trying to identify the next errors to work on.  One recent thing I've noticed is I seem to screw up in rook and pawn endgames, my opponent always seems to end up winning pawns and coming out ahead.  I still haven't really identified in an exact way how I am allowing this.
