Why remove them? They're fun and give people something to shoot for. Even if there are no prizes, for me it was still a huge feeling of accomplishment getting into the Legends League. I don't care about haters saying "It's just how much you grind, blah blah blah." I'm in, and that's that, and you can't take it away from me; even if Leagues are gone, it'll still be something I did.
So opt out if you don't want to compete, but don't ruin it for the people that are into it.
Fair I just disabled them because I focused on leagues more than chess
