hi guise I am a beginner player and my goal is to become a advance player in 1 year I have solved few tactics and it has raise my rating 1000+ in all formats of chess but I want more training that is why I have decided to get a platinum or a gold membership on chess.com I am not going to buy diamond membership because I am a busy person and it has too much material to practice in platinum membership I am getting unlimited tactics and 10 lessons per day and in gold membership I will get 25 tactics and 5 lessons I am confused and want you guise to guide me and one more question that I want to ask you guise is does platinum or gold membership unlock my drills if no then how can I unlock my drills??

Guys. Try the gold first, you can always upgrade easier than downgrading.

No get the Platinum. Gold is a complete rip off. If you want to only do 25 tactics a day go to chess tempo. I tried the diamond for a month and found the CAPS score to be a joke, the videos not great (there is better on youtube -search the st louis chess club) and the unlimited lessons pointless as I only ever did a couple a day. With Platinum you get unlimited tactics, Deep analysis, the opening explorer and 10 lessons a day.

You get Deep Analysis and the Opening Explorer with the gold one, too

thanks for your opinion I have decided to get gold membership

The gold membership gets you unlimited tournaments, which is what I want (the best way to accumulate many many daily games quickly).

The tactics here are higher quality than those on chesstempo, IMO (the tactics here are really great, the tactics ratings system is trash however), since the CT.com tactics, once you get to rating of 2200+, aren't even really "tactics" anymore, but almost like deep strategic threats that happen to work in all the forcing lines that are impossible for a human to calculate. Not good for some quick training, although CT.com is good in general.

I also, like the 5 lessons/day - I'm learning Sam Shankland's course right now, and the positions are really great training.

No ads is a big plus too, since when I was in live chess, the ads would sometimes partially cover the seek menu, which was really annoying.

I actually got gifted this membership, but I find it's probably the best choice for many, and I'd buy this one if I had to choose.

Openings explorer is also not a bad deal. It's surprisingly useful.

I think gold membership is more useful as compare to platinum membership that aftery exams I am going to buy gold membership

Hello guys, does gold membership have the openings explorer and deep analysis unlimited?

amaranand

if u buy gold,will u get 5 lessons a  day or what??

compej

I think any membership is worthwile if you can afford it, I do around 100 tactics a day.

@tanishk18 thx a lot

I think that platinum membership is worth the money if you have time to solve puzzles because puzzles are a must. The puzzles on chess.com are mind-blowing because they are not artificially set up but from real games.
