You do realise that not everyone here plays seriously? A large number of people just play chess to pass their time.

glad to see everyone got mad

I don't think my message was written in a rude way, but framing it again, not everyone here chases ratings. A lot of us come here to pass our time. Does that make it better?

I'm with you on this one !!! I genuinely can't understand myself! People make excuses, like we have work , kids and other things we just don't have time, YET they've spend ridiculous amount of time and like 60k games.

10,000 hours to master something was popularized by Malcolm Gladwell in his 2008 book Outliers

The only VERY IMPORTANT thing I need to share with you is : please don't show and shame particular member, don't give links or names , keep it private and just speak as general public. When you show particular member we don't know he might be ill, old or something else so not a good way ....

dont leak their names bruh

Sorry you guys are right. Based on the fact it takes them 60K games to reach 1200 elo might even suggest they are mentally handicaped.

sorry i remove their names

Idk tbh I think that my chess improvement correlated with my significant maths improvement happy.png

Maybe they don't want to learn, but just play for fun, don't memorize openings or gambits, and don't delve deeply into the game.

Personally, I spent three years playing chess in my free time because I didn't want to get too invested in the game, as I was afraid it would consume all my time and leave me with no room for anything else (Spoiler: it did consume all my time).
