players who repeatedly disconnect & reconnect

I am assuming that they disconnect to get help from friends, human or computer, & then reconnect to make their move.

Am I correct in my assumption?

Can such players be disqualified?

No.  Lots of reasons for a player to have disconnects, only some of which are nefarious...

Disconnecting by itself isn't suspicious, it becomes suspicious when the person just lost material or gets in a losing position and then suddenly starts disconnecting, or takes a 15 minute pause and comes back and plays perfectly the rest of the game.

I have had two separate, rude opponents on here who both bahaved in the same bad way. First when I typed Hello at the start of the game they didn't reply then I won a pawn against each of them and immediately after that they offered a draw, then when I declined in both cases there was a long 10 minute or so pause after which they came back and played perfectly for the last half of the game after playing badly and losing a pawn in the first half. I thought when people made mistakes in chess they usually went into "tilt" and played worse after that, but hey, I guess in that ten minute pause they were meditating and getting themselves together right? Obviously they were doing that and not say, loading up an engine and putting the position in.
