playing against computer form a certain position

I just finished playing a game against a friend of mine, and after re-analyzing I realized that I made a minor blunder near the end that I didnt notice at first but cost me the game. Is there a way for me to set up a chess position against a computer and then play from that point on?

sure, just download arena, winboard, or chessbase light and set the position up.  :)

of all those, chessbase light is the most recommended by me, btw.

if you e.g. start chessmaster --> select play symbol --> click  set up position.( there is training mode, ranked play and 'set up your position'

set up position and select side to play. you can now select your opponent.

From that initial position, White had already lost the game, regardless of 2.h4 or 2. b8=Q.
