Playing against yourself

18 games against self is 36 personalities and that would totally insane. So to be borderline sane, 4 - 6 games against self is okay.

Not necessarily, each personality could play more than one game at once.

@RuleDomain, an Extrapolation of the formula would be great. It may just unlock the key to being a GM.

Yes, I played a few dozen games against myself at my age 8 or 10.

Two reasons,

1.I didnt have any opponent to play (around 16,17 by the time I got chess-mater program seemed  heaven to my life)

2. To replay the memorized opening that I read from opening book.

 

Outcome, draw/win/lose anything  happened, depending on blunder.
