Does anyone else have a problem that when playing with REAL chess board in real life, you can think clear, attack aggresively and is really good, but really terrible when playing online?

My blitz rating always goes up and down, about 3 weeks ago my rating was 1700 and now it goes down to 1500. i stopped and decided to play elsewhere because of free analyzing and puzzles. in that website my blitz rating is 1800, but sometimes it also goes down. i do blunder, because sometime i dont pay attention to match, because opponent took so long. sometime it makes me bored that i open new tab and go to youtube listen to some music while waiting.

While in other hand, In real life i must say that my play  is just different, i can think clearly, and in peace. I've joined a chess torunaments few times and won 3rd place once.

My question is, Do you guys  have this problem? how do you deal with it? Different style playing real life and online. and inconsistent rating and such

I am the same exact way.

It all depends on how much you've played OTB or Online when you learned chess, imo... Those that started mostly OTB find online harder, and those that started playing online exclusively, find OTB harder...

I think the main difference between OTB and Online is, online you have dots and highlighted squares to help you play, and if your king is in check, the engine won't let you make an illegal move, so you can kinda play with out worrying about too many rules (I turn those dots off. If you haven't, try it), OTB, you and your opponent (sometimes an Arbiter) are the game engine, you have to make sure you don't make any illegal moves yourself, so there is a little learning curve if you've only played online. I like both OTB and Online; I suck at both too happy

Same for me too ,on chess.com i have. A rating of 600 elo,and it keeps going up but mostly down, meanwhile in real life i can annaylis the game better and i even took part in a tournamnet in which there are 50 players,1 v 1 ,1 win - plus 10 points,lose-minus 5 points,draw-- plus zero points, there were 5 games for each person randomly chosen ,if you have 35 points after these 5 games ,you go to the next round,if you dont hav e 35 points, you are eliminated,i managed to wi n my first three games then lost one,and i was worried but i was just able to win because my oppojent maked 2 illegal moves,in the next round ,only 16 people remained,so there were 8 fights and only two could make it to the finals and i was one of them,i was losing in the end game but my oppoent played queen e6 ,making me to to have no moves, making it a stalemate and the price (8,000₹) and a chess trophy(made of real silver) was given to both of us,i got 4 thousnads and so did he,and i was happy ,it continued for 18 hours
