I don't recommend playing chess with my kid. At his age, he always wants to "move the horsey". He has a somewhat tenuous grasp on the concept of taking turns, and flatly rejects the idea that there should be rules governing how the pieces move.

Do you think playing chess with your kids is a wise thing to do? I am not concerned about beating or losing against them, but just the fact of playing against them. What are the stigmas involved with it?
