playing friends with very different scores

I have several friends who are all different scores. The app doesn’t let me play them. I get it, if I am 1200 and they are 500 or 1500 maybe I need to play someone at my level. But how can I encourage friends to play if I can’t play them just because their score is drastically different than mine? There has to be a solution for this!

Easy. Find friends like me who don't care as much about rating and will play just about anyone in unrated live chess 
If your friends want more of a challenge, chess.com also has "balanced game" which is basically piece odds, but that seems kind of overpowered to me still. You could also verbally agree to have them play an inferior opening or some other 'handicap' to make it more interesting if the ratings are extremely far apart.
