Premium isn't going to help, as something with themes is bugged.  

I don't ever use them but I have seen other topics with issues and last I recall with v3 being close the bug wasn't being fixed. Though, I could be wrong.

Yeah, a membership probably won't help... I'll take some screenshots showing you what to do.

But if you do get a membership, I'd get maybe Platinum. Or Gold if you just no Ads and stuff.

Having to pay to get features is a hallmark of companies I avoid doing business with if at all possible. There's also no such promise when getting paid membership, so if that's why someone wanted paid membership, I'd get a promise of that in writing first.

Themes work fine for me. How can I tell which version I have? I do have a button to return to the "old chess.com application".

You have just a normal, free membership.

Ah, ok, then everything was working perfectly yesterday when I was changing the site's theme *and* the chessboard settings. So the OP should change to v3.

On my android tablet the site looks a little different, I think maybe v2 is sued there?

You can custom themes in V3, just not as much and the different sounds are all the same afaik

If you are using the Android browser, the site might be v2 but it wouldn't be a little different but a lot different.  I use v3 via browser on Android and the site is identical as far as I can tell (though some things don't work right there).

If you are talking about the app, then the design is pretty much the same but not all features are implemented there.
