Don't be surprised though, I see chess-players often in very good mood during those post-mortems. And they often trash-talk each other (in post-mortems or interviews). Giri does that towards others, too, but I see that he takes others' jokes towards him very well. And sometimes those top-GMs even joke about their selves, as well.
As for Nigel Short, he often makes very "politically in-correct" statements, and likes to joke around all the time, too. He often gets (kind of ?) offensive, too...

I think this is the way everyone should take it. Just a bit of fun. Even on amateur level. I always joke with Jan (NewArdweaden) about one particular blunder & endgame we played and I guess he takes it with good sport. Probably due to his +1 against me in our recorded OTB games.
