Hahaha I love Aronian

What did he say?

Aronian: "But maybe you can do this..." (sacs bishop)
Short: "Oh, you animal!"
Giri: "But I'm just trying to make a draw here I guess, right? Anyway..."
Aronian: "Isn't this always the case?"
Aronian & Short: "Hahahahahahahahaha!"
Short: "Ohhh, ohh, oh... that was... that was below the belt! That was... hahaha" Laughing

And Giri's wisdom at the end: "If you're trying to make a draw, you lose. If you're trying to play for a win, then you draw." Tongue Out

Thanks, good one. Must be Armenian accent... or Spanish lonely braincell.

Hehe Thomas, my reaction totally (or probably reaction of us all) Wink

ANNOUNCEMENT

I decided to pull out of Ivanckuk-Navara match due to low number of games. However, Biel will substitute it for the PPP '17.

The remaining 4 rounds are not going to be lacking in decisive games. Carlsen for one is not going to go gentle into that good night. He's going to score at least 1 win even if it means he has to risk getting additional losses.

MVL should watch out tomorrow.

I'm totally not impressed by MVL. Haven't seen him at all. Either he lost or had a quick/short draw, being one of the first games to finish.

And I'm pretty sure Carlsen have to win all games in order to win the tournament. 5.5/9 won't be enought I suppose. Previous editions:

  • 2013: 6/9
  • 2014: 6/9
  • 2015: 6.5/9
  • 2016: 6/9
  • 2017: ?/9

Well... at least this probably won't be Carlsen's worst ever performance in Norway Chess.

My prediction needs Carlsen to win his last 4 games, while all other games draw :-]

Magnus, you are disappoint tongue.png Don't expect me to spend my prize money with you. In fact, you're the only living chess grandmaster who's not invited to the pool party I'm going to give on my yacht.

(But I might make an exception.)

FaceCrusher

Well I was going to say Magnus was going to run away with it, but he's getting beat on like a government mule this week. I hope Naka can bring it home. Would love to see an Amerian win a Supertournament.Â
