you didn't lose someone your level. The difference was big (above 50). SO, you lost 9 points
Points on wins and losses?

In the second game, if you had won, you would have gained the same 9 points.
The same thing for the first game, if you had lost the game, you would have lost 8 points.

I’m not totally sold on that, but I do appreciate you guys looking into it.
If I am getting 7 points for wins (which is peanuts) and 9 points for losses, I may as well take the spring and summer off, come back and best 1800 players to score 25 points instead of currently 12 points.
This glicko calculation is crap. It’s normal for tournament players to be within 3 months of games.
So, if I lose to somebody within my skill level; I lose 9 points but when I win, I gain 8 points.
Guess it’s better than two steps forward and one step back…
